Private Lessons
One-on-One Lessons at my home studio in Reston, VA, are low-pressure and highly personalized for all ages and skill levels. Whether you’ve sung in choirs, the shower, or nowhere at all, I can meet you at your level.
Scheduling is flexible and enrollment is ongoing. I do not require a weekly commitment, although consistent lessons are the best way to keep improving.
I can accompany most songs on piano by sight-reading lead sheets, and I supplement with pre-recorded accompaniment when needed. I have a wealth of knowledge and experience that can help you transform your singing voice.
My students have had success auditioning for several school musicals, choirs (including two who made the all-state level), and a college music program. They have also sung solos in church and other venues, and they look forward to the opportunity to perform in our annual spring recital.

Group Lessons
Preschool and Elementary Group Lessons are a great way to introduce children to the wonderful world of music. In these lessons, I teach children age-appropriate vocal techniques (we usually start with silly sounds to warm up the voice). Then we sing some songs the children may already know and then learn some new songs. As appropriate, I incorporate basic music theory and activities like percussion play and dancing with scarves.
Small Group Lessons can benefit some older children and teens, too. Certain students may need a friend or sibling to join them for a few lessons before they feel comfortable enough to tackle private lessons.
Hosting a karaoke night? A group lesson for adults could be the perfect way to kick it off and get your guests comfortable and confident singing in front of the group!
I may be available to travel for group lessons.
Student feedback:
”I had a naturally good voice when I was younger, but age had really stolen my confidence. After a few lessons with Hallie, I feel like I finally have my voice back!”
“Learning to sing was a goal I set for myself, but I had no idea how to approach it. Hallie helped me learn how to breathe, move, and think like a singer. I can’t believe how far I’ve come in just a few months!”
